Contact form and newsletter

When you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name, email address, the optional details you choose to give (company, phone, project information) and your message, in order to answer you. The request is stored in our own back office, hosted with the website, and a copy is sent to our mailbox.

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we ask you to accept the Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy, then to confirm your subscription with the link sent by email (double opt-in). We keep your email address, your language, and the date and IP address of your consent as proof. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your data at any time.

Requests and subscriptions are kept as long as needed to handle them, then deleted or anonymised; unconfirmed newsletter sign-ups are not used. These forms do not set any cookie.

License activation and updates

When a script you bought is activated, it contacts our license server. We then record the license key, the domain of the installation, the script and PHP versions, a fingerprint of the license files, the server's IP address and the dates of the checks, in order to perform your license, deliver updates and prevent fraud. We never receive the data that you or your end users enter in the script.

When you activate a script or request your license key, we also ask for your first name, last name and email address, and, at activation, the address of the website where the script is installed. We use them to manage your license, send you your key, answer your support requests and write to you about your purchase. We only send you our newsletter if you tick the optional box, and every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.

These records are kept while the license is in use, then for the time needed to handle any claim. When you send us a CodeCanyon purchase code to receive your key, we keep it with your license as proof of purchase.

4. Payments and marketplaces

If you buy through CodeCanyon / Envato Market or another third-party marketplace, that platform processes information according to its own privacy policy and terms. Steroid Codes does not receive or store your full payment-card details unless explicitly stated for a particular service.

5. Service providers

We may use hosting, email, security, payment, marketplace, analytics or other technical providers where necessary. They receive only the information needed for their service and are expected to process it under appropriate contractual and legal safeguards.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses will be used.
